Since our inception in 1961, SRM Architects + Urban Designers has been on the forefront of sustainable building practices.

Our team consists of experts in sustainable building certification programs, such as Passive House, Net-Zero, and LEED®.

In the 1990’s, SRM was the Architect on “Green on the Grand” one of the first high-performance, energy efficient office buildings in Waterloo Region (and Canada).

Today, we continue to encourage good stewardship of the environment by advocating for sustainable building practices, and advancing projects that are LEED, Net-Zero, or Passive House certified.

On each project, SRM utilizes their understanding of current market conditions and their ability to manage complex, fluid scopes of work to deliver results. They are excellent at managing communication between Ownership, Sub-Consultants, Municipalities, Contractors, and Trades to keep our projects on budget and on schedule.
