The Scott apartments is located at 63 Scott Street, at the intersection of Scott and Weber Streets in Downtown Kitchener. It is a purpose-built rental building with commercial space on the ground floor.

The site is located in Downtown Kitchener’s Market District, bordering the City Centre District. It offers a mix of 133 1 and 2-bedroom units, and include a commercial space on the ground floor.

Attractive streetscape landscaping has been included along Scott and Weber Streets including seating, street trees and planting beds with a mix of shrubs, grasses and perennials. A barrier-free walkway has been provided from the sidewalk to the entrances on Scott Street.

The total precast building’s exterior finishes were carefully selected with consideration of the neighbouring context. The darker material used on the ground floor reinforces the building base, and helps reduce the appearance of mass. The differentiation of materials on the upper floors, as well as the blocking of various colours, and the projecting balconies helps to break down the length of the façade of the tower
